The Chef's Counter FAQ

What is different about the Chef’s Counter reservation compared to having a regular dining experience at Vin 909?

The Chef’s Counter offers four (reserved) seats facing into our open kitchen. This unique culinary adventure provides an interactive dining experience complimented by elevated food and wine you will not find on our regular menu. We are offering Chef's Counter reservations on Tuesday and Wednesday nights only at either 7:00pm. We do not offer reservations for our regular menu. Our regular menu will not be available for the Chef's Counter. To view this month's Chef's Counter menu, click the menu button above. 

How many people can I make a reservation for? 

Chef’s Counter reservations can be made for two (2) or four (4) people. To make a reservation, click the "Make a Reservation" button above. Choose the Date and Time for your reservation. Under "Ticket Type", select "Deposit for a Reservation for Two Chef Counter Seats ($50 each)-$100". Enter your First/Last Name, Email, and Phone Number. Select "1-Ticket" for a 2-person reservation. Select "2-Tickets" for a 4-person reservation. See below for a screenshot of our "Purchase Ticket" page. 

What is included in the price?

The total price of the Chef’s Counter includes a 4-course meal for either 2 or 4, depending on the reservation. While dining, a specially curated wine pairing can be added, or your choice of beer or wine from our regular menu. Non-Alcoholic beverages are also available. All beverages along with tax and gratuity will be added to your bill at the end of the dining experience. Deposits made at the time of the reservation will be deducted/reflected on the final bill.

What if I have to cancel?

Reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to your reservation by emailing us at chefscounter@vin909wine.com. Please include the first/last name and time of the reservation you wish to cancel. If you cancel 48 hours prior, your deposit will be refunded in full. If the cancellation falls after 48 hours, your deposit can be transferred to another Chef's Counter reservation for a future/available date and time. If you cannot find another date/time to reschedule, the deposit will be forfeited in its entirety.

What if I am running late?

We know life gets in the way sometimes...You will receive a text message reminding you of your reservation 1-2 days before your reservation. Save this text message to let us know if you are running late. 

What if I have allergies?

Please email chefscounter@vin909wine.com to share any/all food allergies you have. Kindly include the first/last name and date of the reservation. One of our managers will get back to you within 48 hours. Please allow adequate time for us to review and respond to your email. 

Can I order additional food from the regular Vin 909 menu?

The Chef's Counter is a unique and planned experience. Our regular menu is not available.

Can I order additional beverages from the regular Vin 909 menu?

Yes.

Is gratuity included? 

A 20% gratuity will automatically be added to the final bill. Additional gratuity is always appreciated and can be added to the final bill. All gratuities at Vin 909 are shared among the front of the house staff. 

What if I don’t care for a dish on the Chef’s Counter menu?

Vin 909 recommends that you review the Chef’s Counter menu prior to making a reservation. We are unable to make substitutions to our Chef's Counter menu and invite you to check back often, as our Chef's Counter menu will change monthly. You can always visit us and enjoy our regular menu, sans reservation, of course!

Are children allowed to dine at the Chef's Counter?

The Chef's Counter is an adult-only experience. Children ages 16 and up can enjoy the Chef's Counter.
